Alan Davidson, author of the Oxford Companion to Food, wrote that, “cheesecake was mentioned in Marcus Porcius Cato’s De re Rustica around 200 BCE and that Cato described making his cheese libum (cake) with results very similar to modern cheesecake.”The Romans spread cheesecake from Greece to across Europe. So it’s Friday night and I’m looking to begin the weekend with Happy Hour cheers!
What better way to start the weekend on than great tasting grub with great tasting deserts with drinks to pair with it! Cheesecake Factory here we come!
I have been going to Cheesecake Factory for years and I keep coming back because the food is delicious, the ambiance is an elegant and peaceful setting, and man the cheesecakes are just ridiculous!
Keep in mind that they are much more than great deserts..
They have really tasty items on the menu that will leave you an array of musical bliss.
We made it for Happy Hour so we began with our favorites..
We start off with Chicken Pot Stickers (Oriental Dumplings Pan-Fried in the Classic Tradition. Served with our Soy-Ginger Sesame Sauce) and also the Hot Spinach and Cheese Dip (Spinach, Artichoke Hearts, Shallots, Garlic and a Mixture of Cheeses. Served Bubbly Hot with Tortilla Chips and Salsa).
There are so many other great appetizers as well, like mini hamburgers or chicken sandwiches and many others, you will definitely tickle your fancy there so no worries.
The spinach dip is fabulous with salty crispy tortilla chips that take a dive into a juicy pool of cheese and spinach that just melts in your mouth.
The chicken potstickers have a nice punch from the soy sauce with a light textured toasted wrap that gets the palate ready for the main course. Both items go great with beer!
Now that my palate has done a little stretching, it is time for Excalibur to be held high with trumpets sounding in the air.
Here she comes..The skyrocket sensation to the mouth…Bang Bang Chicken and Shrimp.
This dish is my absolute favorite at Cheesecake which is a Spicy Thai Dish with the Flavors of Curry, Peanut, Chile and Coconut. Sautéed with Vegetables and Served over Steamed White Rice.
The attitude in this dish is downright cocky!
When you bite into it, there is a launch of delicious monstrous flavor in each bite as if the Incredible Hulks DNA was blended in with it.
The chicken in big chunks of thick and tender goodness! The shrimp just pop locks in your mouth and the sauce is just out of this world. A masterpiece of perfection! True live action eating!
Now after your mouth has received this volcano explosion. Time to cool off with the cheese from the heavens.
This place is a sweet tooth lovers dream! So many items to choose from and so little time. What to do..

Instantly my mouth turns into a gateway of sweet banana fantasy! The core beauty of the flavor of banana and cheesecake entering in each bite and let me tell you it was hard to stop the consumption. A true piece of divine perfection! Great job Cheesecake Factory!
