So it’s my son’s graduation from college and man am I stoked!
Time for the hen to leave the nest and fly on his own..
Time to get some hair on his chest..
Time to celebrate his great accomplishment!
One place that we hold our big celebrations is at Claim Jumpers in Fremont,Ca.
Great food, large portions and a massive size restaurant for plenty of room to enjoy with family and friends.
Let’s talk about it…
If you have ever been to Claim Jumpers then you know you better unbuckle your belts and get your napping cart ready because the food portions are huge..
You definitely get your bang for your buck there and according to Claim Jumpers, they use nothing but fresh ingredients that they have received the same day with their food.
The menu in itself has many choices to choose from so I’m sure you will find something that fits your fancy when you are there.
Today we are a party of 10 and there is plenty of room in the restaurant for many parties of the same size. I’m not sure what the capacity is but I know a whole lot of people can fit in there so having large gatherings is not a problem at all.
Today we are going to focus on the rib and shrimp plate since this is what I had myself but like I said there are many different choices to choose from so be prepared to be in heavenly bliss regardless the appetite mood you are in.
Some of the dishes my family enjoyed while there was the steak chili, clam chowder, pizza, and the chicken pot pie with carrots, onions, mushrooms and peas simmered slowly in a savory herb cream sauce and baked in Claim Jumper’s flaky pie crust.
Let me just say the soups were delicious, hearty and could be a meal in themselves. The pizza oozed nothing but goodness with pepperoni, fresh mozzarella, crushed tomato and basil marinara.
After taking a bite of everyone’s food, I was almost full before my plate came and I took a look at the ribs.
A Half-rack of Baby Back Pork Ribs paired with your choice of Grilled, Fried, Coconut or Stuffed BBQ Shrimp Enbrochette. Gorgeous to the eye as it winks with flashing BBQ sauce and dripping pork oils. The shrimp held their chest out and stood like champions on the plate as well. Even the broccoli held its ground while it sparked its light grassy green color.
Fried shrimp was my shrimp of choice with a side of tartar sauce. Time to go in for the kill!
The ribs were falling off the bone and so tender that you cold split the meat in half with your tongue. Tangy and sweet barbecue sauce at the tip of my lips quivering for the next bite. The shrimp were plump and they popped in my mouth like a burst of Bubblicious gum with the filling in the middle upon each bite.
Thanks for joining me on today’s adventure! I look forward to seeing you on the next run! Keep hope alive!
Eating is an enjoyable way of life.Live it..Learn it..Love it!
