It’s the weekend out here in the sunny Bay Area and time to find an exciting activity to enjoy this lovely weather.

What better way to enjoy the weekend than at a Festival!

You get music, shopping, beer, great food and all kinds of different vendors out there trying to advertise to you by giving you free gifts.

One of the biggest festivals I have experienced in the Bay Area is the Fremont Festival of the Arts!

Let’s talk about it…

So like I said it’s Saturday and I’m in bed looking for what to do for the day.

I see there are 2 festivals in Monterey,Ca and there is another festival closer by in Fremont, Ca. I love Monterey but it is an hour out, also Fremont is a really great challenger and I have some fond memories there.

I currently live about 25 miles away from Fremont and had lived there about 10 years back. Really peaceful place to live, nice restaurants, low crime rate and a great place to raise a family.

Not only is it a great place to live but they sure do know how to have a party!

The blocks they cut off for the festival are ridiculous. They cut off streets in 4 different directions where you can’t see the end even if you tried.

There was live music, a flea market of choices of different types of vendors to buy items from, television producer booths, cable television booths, beer, wine, food trucks and also booths for food.

With a beer in hand of Lagunitas IPA, it was time to get some grub from the food trucks and then sit down to listen to some live music and rest my feet.

There was a truck for a variety of sandwiches, an ice cream truck, Philly Cheese Steak truck and a Mexican food truck.

This beer is making me crave for something spicy and meaty, something that goes great with hot sauce and is perfect for this heat.

Looks like Los Altos Taqueria food truck is the place to be!

I order a carne asada tostada which contains refried beans, cheese, guacamole, sour cream, lettuce and tomato within a crispy shell.

I grab their Tapatio bottle and dump a little on this delicate creation of loving goodness and head to a table to listen to some live country music.

I sit down and dive in to a crunch of fresh crispy lettuce, succulent carne asada, tasty salsa and cool sour cream. Then I break off some f that crispy shell and dive into this full bite of goodness again.

A great dish that went well with an ice cold beer and my feet bouncing up and down to the live music and crowd of people in my surroundings. True live action eating! Good job Fremont!

If you have never attended a food festival in your area then you are missing out. I strongly suggest you Google search and find one soon. I promise you that you wont regret it!

Thanks for joining me on today’s adventure! I look forward to seeing you on the next run! Keep hope alive!

Eating is an enjoyable way of life.Live it..Learn it..Love it!
