Entire Bay Area region placed under stay-at-home order after ICU capacity falls below 15%

Of the 11 counties in the Bay Area region, only four — San Mateo, Napa, Solano and Santa Cruz — chose not to adopt the stay-at-home order early and will now have to shut down outdoor dining, indoor personal care services and other activities prohibited under the new order. The stay-at-home order will officially take effect in those counties Friday.

San Francisco, Santa Clara, Alameda, Contra Costa and Marin counties have all been under the stay-at-home order for more than a week now, while Sonoma and Monterey counties followed suit over the past week.
