BRUNSWICK COUNTY, N.C. — A tornado tore through parts of Brunswick County in southeast North Carolina just after midnight, leaving people trapped in their homes, structural damage, and power lines down, according to WWAY our CBS News partners in Wilmington.

Adding to the ice storms in the United States, there have been tornado warnings last night in the Southeast and Florida areas..
