NSW Health says it gave more than 160 HSC students at St Joseph’s College at Hunters Hill a Pfizer jab “in error”, but the move has sparked fury from adults waiting for their COVID-19 shot and from teachers who argue they should be given priority.

The Sydney Local Health District, which administered the vaccinations to year 12 students from the school in June, said they were given mistakenly, after a plan to inoculate only Aboriginal students somehow went awry and resulted in 163 boarders from the high-fee school receiving their jabs.
