Moderna to produce millions of mRNA vaccines in Australia from 2024
Up to 100 million doses of mRNA vaccines will be made in Australia each year as the Victorian government, Federal government and vaccine manufacturer Moderna finalises a 10-year deal for a new vaccine hub in Melbourne.
The parties reached an agreement to build a mRNA facility — which can produce vaccines for COVID-19 and other ailments such as the flu — in the Victorian capital.
In doing so, they finalised an in-principle agreement made in December 2021.
