The World Health Organization will reconvene an emergency committee on monkeypox “as soon as possible” due to the “evolving situation,” Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said Wednesday—after the organization declared Saturday that the virus isn’t an international public health emergency “at present.”
Adhanom Ghebreyesus and the committee on Saturday acknowledged the situation should be “closely monitored,” and the decision not to declare an emergency be “reviewed after a few weeks,” noting the global outbreak’s “emergency nature” and the “intense response efforts” required to control it.
One or more of the following conditions should trigger a reassessment, they said:
– Evidence of an increased growth rate in cases in the next three weeks. – Cases identified among sex workers. – An increase in cases in vulnerable groups like immunosuppressed individuals, those with poorly controlled HIV infection, pregnant women, and children. – An increase in morbidity or mortality and hospitalization rates. – Evidence of reentry into the animal population. – Evidence of significant mutation affecting how the disease presents itself. – Evidence of clusters of cases of different clades with more significant virulence detected outside of West and Central Africa.
Dr. Georges Benjamin, executive director of the American Public Health Association, told Fortune on Wednesday he was glad to hear the committee would reconvene.
“The situation is only getting worse, and they really need to jump on this quickly,” he said via text.
The news comes less than 24 hours after the White House announced the first phase of its national monkeypox vaccine strategy, saying it would release tens of thousands of doses “immediately” from the Strategic National Stockpile—with millions more on their way the coming weeks and months.

Assembly Bill 2098 by Assembly Member Evan Low (D-Campbell) would make it easier for the Medical Board of California to discipline doctors who promote COVID-19 misinformation by classifying it as unprofessional conduct. Low said the bill will make it clear that lawmakers want the state’s troubled medical board to go after doctors who peddle inaccurate information about the coronavirus.
Lawmakers have expressed frustration with the medical board’s slow complaint-driven process, which has allowed a handful of doctors in the state to promote conspiracy theories and unproven treatments throughout the pandemic.
“The spreading of misinformation — of inaccurate COVID-19 information — contradicts the responsibility [of doctors] and threatens to further erode the public trust in the medical profession and puts all patients at risk,” Low said Tuesday.
Nick Sawyer, an emergency room doctor who created a group called No License for Disinformation, said the bill would affect a small group of doctors who spread blatantly inaccurate and extreme misinformation that a physician knows to be false, or that they should know to be false given their medical training. Sawyer said he believes the state’s medical board is authorized to go after those doctors now, but that the bill is needed because the agency has been slow to react.

Scientists at Oak Ridge National Labs are trying to discover parallel universes. Now, after several years of searching, they have revealed what they’ve found so far.
The team of physicists has been searching for evidence of a “right-handed version of our left-handed universe.” Specifically, scientists said they are looking for a “mirror neutron” by sending neutrons – one of the particles that make up atoms – into a tube with a blocked end, then seeing if any make it to the other side.
The experiment has been compared to Stranger Things’ “upside down.” “So the question I get the most is, were we successful in opening the portal? And unfortunately, no, we did not find any evidence of parallel universes or new interactions with the neutron and the Dark Sector,” scientist Leah Broussard said.
The search isn’t over, however. Scientists said they have “more sensitive” experiments planned, so we may learn more in the years to come. “The goal of the experiment was to see if we could see neutrons going through a wall that we knew should stop neutrons. The idea is that neutrons might be transforming into dark matter.
Dark matter doesn’t seem to interact with our ordinary matter so it would just pass through the wall, and then we could try to get the neutron to transform back. I think if we see a signal or see evidence of a new particle it doesn’t mean that we found a new dimension or we found a new universe. It just means that we have a better understanding of the particles that are making up our universe,” scientist Leah Broussard said

A major Russia-India-China trade and economic agreement is being implemented as the three countries appear to have agreed to bypass the dollar. India for the first time pays for a shipment of Russian coal using Chinese yuan!
In addition to the dollar and the US being hit hard by a large economy, India is also supporting the Chinese currency! It remains to be seen whether this could lead to another major agreement between the BRICS countries.
The event will not be the only one. Other Indian companies have reportedly already ordered Russian coal with payment in Chinese yuan.

A Swedish food brand has debuted a patty they claim tastes like people..
An ad for a plant-based burger flavored to mimic human meat won an award at the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity last week – though it’s unclear who would be able to judge the vegan patty’s similarity to the real thing.
Swedish vegan food brand Oumph!’s Halloween-themed ad for its human-burger took home the festival’s Silver Brand Experience and Activation Lion on Thursday. Boasting that Oumph! “turn[s] plants into any mouth-watering meat you can imagine,” the ad, replete with bloody knives and other horror-movie imagery, revealed the brand was about to “bring you the scariest plant-based food ever – plant based human meat.”
A spokesperson for the company, which manufactured the delicacy from soy, mushrooms, wheat protein, plant-based fats and a “mysterious spice mix,” insisted “no humans were injured in the development of this product.”
The burger was only available in Sweden for Halloween 2021, according to the ad – “because otherwise it would be creepy” – and it’s unclear whether the Cannes judges had the opportunity to sample the merchandise, let alone compare it to the real thing.
Created by ad agency LOLA MullenLowe, Madrid, the video spot beat out 1,918 other entries to win in its category. In a press release following their win, the company’s Executive Creative Director Tomas Ostiglia explained that “the plant-based category is at its peak,” meaning Oumph! “had to convince meat-lovers, vegetarian or not, that their plant-based products can in fact replicate the taste of any meat. A claim most are tired of hearing and even more tired of being disappointed by.”

So what are we talking about here? Only a 10-nation confederacy, 9 Arab nations and Israel, based on the Abraham Accords, all coming together to create a Middle East NATO-style organization that puts you smack dab in the middle of the book of Daniel, that’s all.

Revelation 13:1-2 The New Testament revelation afforded by the Apocalypse, coming as it does hundreds of years after Daniel’s prophecy, constitutes a confirmation as well as additional revelation of that which had been previously introduced by Daniel the prophet.
In Revelation 13:1-2 John “saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.” The correspondence of this beast to that in Daniel 7 is obvious in that the beast has ten horns and ten crowns, speaking of political power and yet having seven heads. The meaning of the seven heads is not immediately clear but may be related to the deposition of three kingdoms by the little horn of Daniel 7:9. Another interpretation is that the seven heads represent seven successive rulers in the Roman Empire which are succeeded by a ten-nation confederacy which has ten simultaneous kings (Rev 17:10-13). From the standpoint of establishing a future ten-nation confederacy, the passage adds its weight to that previously revealed in Daniel, in that again there are ten horns and these rulers are under the domination of a single ruler described in Revelation 13:3-8.
Here even more clearly than in Daniel the prophecy relates to that which is future. The ruler who dominates the political scene is declared to have power given to him to continue forty and two months. This three and one-half year period may be identified with the future great tribulation of Daniel 12:1 and Matthew 24:21 which is in turn related to the prophecy of Daniel 9:27 as being the last three and one-half years of the 490 years of Daniel’s prophecy pictured in Daniel 9:24-27. More important is the fact that the forty-two months (Rev 13:5) culminate in the second coming of Christ when, according to Revelation 19, the beast of Revelation 13 is captured and cast into the lake of fire (Rev 19:20). This clearly identifies the time factor as that immediately preceding the second coming of Christ and therefore future, not a part of past Roman history.
Revelation 17:3,7,12-18 The fourth major passage relating to the ten-nation confederacy is the description of the beast found in Revelation 17. According to Revelation 17:3 the wicked woman depicting the apostate church is astride the beast having seven heads and ten horns. Because of the precise description, there should be little question that this is the same beast which has seven heads and ten horns found in Revelation 13:1, and represents, therefore, the political government of that time. The position of the woman astride the beast describes her relationship, namely, one of dominance and yet supported by the political government.
The description of the ten horns as given in Revelation 17:12-16 confirms again that the ten horns are ten kings who are subservient to the one dictator who reigns over the entire government.Their blasphemous character is described and their ultimate destruction is assured. An amazing detail is added in Revelation 17:16, namely, that the ten horns, representing the kings, destroy the wicked woman in order that the dominion which she had religiously should be transferred to the political ruler. This, of course, is in line with intimations in Scripture that at the beginning of the final forty-two month period the ruler of the revived Roman Empire will take upon himself the role of God and demand that all the world worship him (Rev 13:8, 15). Again the identification of the horn and the beast and the times in which they are pictured as exercising their power relate them to a future period, namely, that just preceding the second coming of Christ to the earth.
