Lithuania has decided to cross the Rubicon by implementing a total blockade of Kaliningrad from July 10. The situation in the Baltics is now going from bad to worse…
And because that was not enough, a Lithuanian MP twice warned Moscow not to abrogate the Treaty recognizing the independence of Lithuania in 1991!
Otherwise, Lithuania will revoke the Treaty of Polyanovka and demand the return of the Russian region of Smolensk!
Now Moscow has only one solution if something doesn’t change dramatically within ten days…
“Sanctions in Kaliningrad will be fully implemented”
Lithuania will proceed with transit sanctions in Kaliningrad as planned.
Lithuanian Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė said the country would continue to implement the terms of the EU’s fourth package of sanctions against Russia and stop the transit of other goods through the Kaliningrad region from July 10, when the restrictions are due to take effect.
