The General Council of AANES issued decision No. (8), declaring a state of emergency in the regions of the Autonomous Administration of Northern and Eastern Syria.
The text of the decision states the following:
Based on the provisions of the Basic Charter in the Autonomous Administration of Northern and Eastern Syria, the General Council convened in a special session on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, and decided:
1- Declaration of a state of emergency in areas of Northern and Eastern Syria
2- Briefing all councils, bodies, committees and institutions in AANES to prepare contingency plans to address threats and challenges
3- Using all possibilities to protect the people from any aggressive attack in the regions of the Autonomous Administration and Northern and Eastern Syria. The Executive Council and the Executive Councils in the Autonomous and Civil Administrations should prioritize addressing these threats.
Turkey will launch a new invasion
The Turkish military sent more reinforcements to northern Syria on Tuesday, amid continued Turkish threats to launch a new operation.
Turkish reinforcements reportedly entered al-Rai Pass and headed for al-Bab near Manbij.
“This is the fourth military phalanx to enter areas in the countryside of Aleppo in the last 24 hours,” Syrian military sources noted.
According to the same sources, Turkey has sent almost a hundred tanks and fifty artillery systems to Syria in the last 24 hours.
