RT Erdogan and V. Putin agreed to end the use of the dollar in energy transactions between them, and probably altogether, which will give a huge boost to the two countries. The second shock for NATO came from what RT Erdogan said in the press conference about “cooperation in the defense industry” with Iran!

At this moment, Turkish officials are trying to refute the Turkish president and “collect” his statements. But it is obvious from the meetings that Erdogan has made his decisions long ago. NATO and the West simply refuse to admit it.

End of the dollar for Turkey

According to Turkish Officials, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is currently discussing with Russian President Vladimir Putin the payment of Russian energy supplies in currencies other than the dollar.

Specifically, the two countries are working on making trade payments in the local currency, including in energy deals, a move that would help the Turkish government slow its depletion of government reserves, officials said.

Russia remains a critical source of energy supply for Turkey. It provided a quarter of Turkey’s oil imports and about 45% of its gas purchases last year, giving Moscow a huge surplus in bilateral trade.

Any payment made in Turkish currency could later be used by Moscow to finance Russian purchases of goods and services from Turkish providers.

Likewise, the ruble should be part of any deal between the two countries, the official said. Turkey’s energy ministry declined to comment. Russia’s energy ministry also did not respond to a request for comment, sources said.
