New York state health officials are urging people to get vaccinated against polio after the virus was identified in wastewater samples in another county.
The four wastewater samples were collected in July and August in Sullivan County, northwest of Orange County. CNN previously reported that polio was identified in wastewater samples from Rockland County, Orange County and New York City. The state Department of Health announced Friday that the Sullivan County samples were genetically linked to the previously identified case of polio in Rockland County, where a man was diagnosed with paralytic polio.
Health officials warned on Friday of expanding community spread of the virus.
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration released what they said was a recording of the audio from a black hole and it went mega-viral on social media after many compared to what they imagine hell sounds like. “The misconception that there is no sound in space originates because most space is a ~vacuum, providing no way for sound waves to travel.
A galaxy cluster has so much gas that we’ve picked up actual sound,” the official account tweeted. “Here it’s amplified, and mixed with other data, to hear a black hole!” they added excitedly. The audio is from black hole 200 million light-years away.
The video went mega-viral with more than 16 million views from the one tweet alone. Many on social media found it disturbing and spooky, with some comparing it to the sounds of hell. “Nasa, on a pleasant august sunday evening: hey wanna hear what’s surely the wailing of souls trapped inside a black hole since the beginning of human existence,” read one popular response.
“Oh neat it’s the sound of demons screaming from the depths of Hell,” said Matt Walsh. “I’m not religious, but I’m starting to think that those souls sent to Hell actually end up in a black hole,” tweeted an associate professor of planetary science.
“According to NASA, a black hole sounds like billions of souls wailing in anguish from the depths of hell. Neat! I didn’t plan on sleeping anytime in the foreseeable future, anyway,” read another reply.
“Good news everyone! We recorded the sound of a god’s eternal death scream as its collapsing gravity bends light and warps reality!” joked another user. Others found it less creepy and said compared it to the spiritual sound Om sacred to Hindus. (TheBlaze)

Rolling blackouts have begun in Kosovo because the country cannot find enough supply of natural gas to keep power plants running at full capacity.
Other European countries, from the UK to Bulgaria, are also developing plans to cut off electricity.
The reason: These countries imposed economic sanctions upon Russia over its Special Military Operation into Ukraine, and as a result of their own Sanctions, these countries now refuse to buy Russian oil and natural gas.
Rather than mind their own business when it comes to the Russia-Ukraine problems, Europe has decided that its citizens can live in the dark, so Europe can virtue signal how wonderful they are, by not buying Russian natural gas.
The politicians in Europe have personally caused this energy problem and the price hikes, by imposing sanctions upon Russia.
Citizens in Europe should get rid of these politicians before Winter arrives, and folks start freezing to death from no heat due to no natural gas.

We must recognize that life itself is a gift from the Almighty and that it has a sacred purpose.
One of the many names of Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, is “yom harat olam” – the birthday of the world. It is the day on which we believe the world was created.
Before we can begin to celebrate this “birthday,” something is required of us. During the 10 days that begin with Rosh Hashanah and end with Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, we are meant to ask forgiveness of anyone we may have hurt during the year – even unintentionally. We are required to atone for wrongs between man and man, in contrast to the sins that arise between man and God. To extend forgiveness to others is harder than to humble ourselves and ask for it from family, friends or rivals. We cannot make a spiritual “return” as we are required to do if we are still shackled with unresolved guilt and resentments.
More Jews attend the synagogue on these two days than at any other time. Many of the prayers praise the mighty and wondrous works of the Creator, in keeping with the theme of “the birthday of the world.” We must recognize that life itself is a gift from the Almighty and that it has a sacred purpose.
According to our tradition, everything we do is recorded in the Book of Life. No deed, word, thought of good or evil, goes unrecorded. The record is supposedly kept in heaven. One belief accords this job to Elijah the Prophet, keeper of the records of man’s deeds.
On Rosh Hashanah, the Book of Life is examined, our acts for the preceding year weighed and judged. On this basis, it is decided “who shall live and who shall die… who shall be brought low and who shall be exalted.” For this reason, we send each other greetings worded “May you be inscribed for a good year.” We are taught that the only way to avert a severe decree is by “penitence, prayer and charity.”
According to Rabbi Kruspedai, in the name of Rabbi Yohanan, three books are opened on Rosh Hashanah – one for the wholly righteous; one for the wholly wicked; and one for most of us, those in between.

Moscow’s ally has modified its warplanes to deploy Russian weapons, the president claimed
Belarus has finished preparing some of its military aircraft for the possible deployment of Russian nuclear weapons, President Alexander Lukashenko revealed on Friday.
“You remember [Russian President Vladimir] Putin and I said we will modify Belarusian Su jets so that they could carry nuclear weapons. Did you think we were blabbing? It’s all done!” he said, as quoted by national news agency Belta. The remark came as he was discussing NATO’s military deployments near Belarus’ borders.
Lukashenko was referring to his meeting with the Russian president in late June, during which the Belarusian leader shared concerns over Poland’s requests for the US to deploy American tactical nuclear weapons on its soil.
The Poles “are training to deploy nuclear warheads. Could you please at least help us modify warplanes that we have… so that they could carry nuclear weapons,” he said at the time.
The US has been training non-nuclear NATO members like Poland how to use its tactical nuclear weapons for decades. Moscow has long called such exercises a violation of Washington’s non-proliferation commitments, which the US has denied.
During the meeting with Lukashenko in June, Putin offered help to modernize Belarusian warplanes at Russian military factories, and to train its pilots to alleviate Minsk’s concerns about NATO.

A human case of dengue fever that was locally acquired has been confirmed in Collier County and it is causing heightened concern of more infection, according to health officials.
“The Florida Department of Health in Collier County has not reported a case of locally acquired dengue fever in over 20 years,” according to Kristine Hollingsworth, spokesperson for the state Department of Health in Collier.
The discovery prompted the department to issue an advisory.
“The risk of transmission to humans has increased,” the Collier health department said in a news release. “Collier County Mosquito Control and the (health department) continue surveillance and prevention efforts.”
Hollingsworth said residents should be on alert.
“It is mosquito borne and cannot be transmitted through person to person contact,” she said. “The last locally acquired case was before 2000. We reported a case acquired outside of the United States in July.”

The possibility of reviving the Iran nuclear deal is diminishing as US forces launched the largest-ever airstrikes against Iranian targets in Syria after Israeli F-35s invaded Iranian airspace.
Earlier, US media reports said that US President T. Biden rejected all of Iran’s proposed concessions to revive the JCPOA nuclear deal. Israel was quick to emphasize, however, that any agreement does not bind it and that it will continue to operate against Iran.
According to information, the Americans hit Iranian positions in the Deir Ez-Zor area in Syria for the third time in 48 hours.
CENTCOM stressed that US forces in Iraq and Syria are on high alert following recent attacks by Iran-backed groups.

The case Connette v. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Hospital Authority followed actions taken in 2010. Then 3-year-old Amaya Gullatte suffered permanent brain damage, cerebral palsy, and “profound developmental delay” after a procedure for a heart condition at Carolinas Medical Center.
