Dangerous provocation: “The Greeks opened fire & sank a boat off Tenedos” say the Turks – WarNews247

The most serious provocation so far is unfolded by the Turks as they claim that vessels of the Greek Coast Guard opened fire on a Turkish vessel off Tenedos, resulting in a bullet being lodged inside the vessel.

In fact, they point out that Turkish Coast Guard vessels rushed to the scene and “confronted” the Greek Coast Guard vessel.

At this point, they also put the Turkish editor into practice, publishing a video of dubious reliability in which the vessel in question is shown to have been hit by a bullet, while gunshots are also heard.

The Greek Coast Guard does not confirm any such incident.

This is reported by Turkish media

“Two Coast Guard vessels were dispatched to the scene after two vessels of the Hellenic Coast Guard harassed and opened fire on the Comoros-flagged Ro-Ro vessel Anatolian, which was sailing in international waters 11 nautical miles southwest of Tenedos.

With the arrival of the Turkish Coast Guard vessels in the area, the Greek vessels quickly left the area.

After the harassing fire that was opened in violation of the rules of international law, it was established that there was no loss of life and no injuries to the ship’s personnel (6 Egyptians, 4 Somalis, 5 Azeri and 3 Turkish citizens).

The ship is accompanied by two Coast Guard Vessels and an investigation has been launched into the incident in accordance with the directive of the Dardanelles Prosecutor”.
