A remote-controlled kamikaze drone struck a high-rise office building in Moscow, the mayor of the Russian capital, Sergei Sabianin, announced in the early hours of the morning, adding that several more Ukrainian UAVs were shot down by anti-aircraft defense arrays.
“Drones were shot down by anti-aircraft defense systems while heading towards Moscow. One hit the same high-rise building of the City [s.s. of Moscow] with the last time ,” Mr. Sabianin said via Telegram.
On the night of Saturday to Sunday, windows of two buildings in the “Moscow City” district, where mainly businesses are located – according to some information, services of three Russian ministries were housed in the same building -, were destroyed by attacks of Ukrainian remote-controlled kamikaze drones, the elective.
“The facade was damaged on the 21st floor,” the mayor said today, clarifying that no injuries have been reported from these attacks in Moscow.
Ukrainian maritime drones have tried to attack Russian civilian vessels in the Black Sea, but were destroyed by Russian navy escort ships, the Defense Ministry announced on Tuesday.
In a statement, the ministry claimed that “overnight, the Kiev regime tried to stage a terror attack on Russian civilian transport ships heading for the Bosporus Strait in the southwestern part of the Black Sea, which used three semi-submersible unmanned boats.”
Earlier in the day, defense officials said that Ukrainian drones had mounted an unsuccessful attack in the same area on two Russian patrol vessels, the Sergey Kotov and Vasily Bykov, adding that the ships continued their operations.
The Sergey Kotov had previously been attacked by two Ukrainian sea drones in the Black Sea last week but managed to destroy the incoming UAVs.
