Intense nuclear activity is being recorded in Russia as Russian strategic forces continue to load state-of-the-art ICBMs with Multiple Independently Targetable Re-Entry Vehicles (MIRVs) and countermeasures systems.

It is recalled that the Russian army presented a few days ago the famous strategic intercontinental ballistic missile system equipped with an Avangard supersonic glide vehicle, causing waves of concern in the West!

At the same time, yesterday it became known that the first Sarmat Regiment enters service. The missile will be able to carry a combination of thermonuclear warheads and expendable countermeasures to neutralize NATO’s anti-missile defenses.

YARS ICBM loaded into silo

A Yars intercontinental ballistic missile has been loaded into a silo at the Kozelsky missile plant in the Kaluga region, the Russian Defense Ministry announced, with Russia on the move when it comes to nuclear weapons!

The Yars ICBM, also known as the RS-24, is a Russian intercontinental ballistic missile system designed to deliver nuclear warheads and has a range of over 12,000 km.

The Yars ICBM is capable of evading missile defense systems due to its advanced maneuverability and ability to launch multiple warheads simultaneously.

The Yars intercontinental ballistic missile was manufactured in the 2000s, and their entry into the Russian Armed Forces began in 2009.

It includes a solid fuel launch vehicle and carries multiple nuclear warheads, arranged as Multiple Independently Targetable Re-Entry Vehicles (MIRVs).

Also, the Yars-type intercontinental ballistic missile is considered one of the newest and most advanced missile systems, which is part of the so-called “nuclear triad” and replaces the older Topol-type ICBMs in the arsenal of the Strategic Missile Forces of Russia.

“The intercontinental ballistic missile was loaded into the launcher silo using the hydraulic mechanism of a special transport and loading unit. Technological operations continued for several hours,” the defense ministry said in describing how the missile was deployed.

The Ministry of Defense added that the Kozelsky unit will be the first in the Strategic Missile Forces to be re-equipped with the Yars missile system with a fixed (silo) base.

The implementation of the measures planned for 2023 to rearm the Strategic Missile Forces with the Yars missile system will increase the combat capabilities of the Russian strategic nuclear forces, the Russian Defense Ministry stressed.

Russia plans to test the world’s largest nuclear missile with a flight over the South Pole
Meanwhile, Russia is preparing to test its largest nuclear missile, the Satan 2, which is as tall as a 14-story apartment building, with a flight over the South Pole, state media revealed before the news was quickly censored.

Vladimir Putin is reportedly determined to make a show of force in the West by putting Russia’s first regiment on “combat readiness” next month with the 208-tonne RS-28 Sarmat intercontinental ballistic missile, known as the “Satan 2”.

This report by the Russian news agency TASS about the South Pole was hastily censored, but remains cached according to the British newspaper Daily Mail.

According to the Tass cable ” Sarmat flight tests are currently being carried out from the Plesetsk cosmodrome to the Kura training center in Kamchatka” in the Russian Far East, but eventually a test flight of Satan 2 over the South Polo, as the report suggests before it was censored.

The hypersonic missile is designed to strike the West by flying over the North or South Pole, making it impossible to intercept by existing air defense systems.

The Sarmat (Satan 2) missile will replace in the Russian arsenal the Voevoda – or Satan – which has been in service since the 1980s. The R-36M2 Voevoda missile was tested at least 17 times during the Cold War before entering combat service.
