Live Action Quick Tips

Did you know….

The process of smoking pork was created when the Spanish settlers first arrived in the United States. They watched natives building a smoky fire underneath their game, and took notice of how the process kept bugs away and preserved the meat. This is said to be the first known barbecue process. Over time, the process evolved, with the migration of Africans and Europeans to the South. Pigs became a main source of meat for people in the Southern colonies, due to their cheap price tag and easy maintenance.

Paired with a little barbeque sauce, cole slaw, and a bun, pulled pork makes for one of the best sandwiches out there. In Mexican cuisine, pulled pork is referred to as carnitas and is paired with onions, cilantro, beans, and guacamole, and makes for a delicious taco. (thedailymeal.com)

Finding a great place for drinks and appetizers is always on my mind. Especially a location that has great tasting food and a good drink selection.

When I find a good one, it’s like striking gold.

I believe I found a hidden gem on the streets of Los Gatos called Cin Cin.

Let’s talk about it….

It’s Happy Hour time and I’ve had a long day at work and my wife and I are ready to unwind over drinks and a meal.

She saw some great reviews about a Pub in Los Gatos and wanted me to try it; so we’re on our way.

We arrive to Cin Cin during Happy Hour and decide to order a couple of appetizers along with some drinks.

We order fish tacos, shredded pork sliders and mushroom empandas.

I start with an ice cold IPA which is super refreshing and goes great with the upcoming dishes about to enter my face.

The appetizers arrive and we dive right in!

Everything looks picture perfect. So pretty that I don’t want to ruin their glamor by biting into them.

Somebody gots to do it, so let’s do it!

I grab one of the pork sliders first and dove right in.

Kaploooooow! An Explosion of flavor!

The bun is nice and soft, the pork is super tender and packed with a sweet apple flavor.

Now the taco..

Shabaaaaang!!

The taco shell is slightly toasted which gives it a perfect crunch and the fish has a nice crusted layer over it that seals it’s tender goodness like a diamond within coal.

Now the mushroom empandas..

Kaboooom!

I can’t believe it..

Perfection with the crispy outer shell with a plump mushroom within that has an awesome succulent burst of flavor when you bite into it.

Now for the next Slider…

Pooooow!

Taco..

Baaaaaang!

Empanda..

Booooom!

Nothing but true live action eating! Great job Cin Cin!
